Friends of the Massachusetts Park Ranger Mounted Unit was founded in 2009 to help support the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR) Park Ranger Mounted Unit (PRMU) to protect, preserve and promote the 450,000 acres of the state park system.

In addition, the Friends support the sustainability of the Mounted Unit, including continued restoration, and maintenance of the Brian T. Broderick Stable located in the heart of the Blue Hills Reservation.

Park Ranger Mounted Unit at Work…

The Park Ranger Mounted Unit conduct ceremonial functions as “Color Guard”, “presenting the colors.”

At the Annual International Sand Sculpture Festival at Revere Beach Reservation in Revere the mounted unit performs crowd management.

Revere Beach Reservation is the oldest public beach in the nation.
